April 2017 Kansas City Housing Market Report from the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® and Heartland Multiple Listing Service.

Highlights from the April data include:

April 2017 average sales price for new & existing homes combined ($220,283) is 4.1% higher than April 2016.

There were 3,153 home sales (new & existing combined) for April 2017 – 8.9% lower than last April (3,461).

Home inventory (new & existing combined) for April 2017 (6,803) is 25.5% lower compared to April 2016.

The supply of new and existing homes for April 2017 is 2.1 months representing a home market favoring sellers.
