July 2017 Kansas City Housing Market Report from the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® and Heartland Multiple Listing Service.

Highlights from the July data include:

July 2017 average sales price for new & existing homes combined ($231,105) is 3.7% higher than July 2016.

There were 3,617 home sales (new & existing combined) for July 2017 – 3.8% lower than last July (3,760).

Home inventory (new & existing combined) for July 2017 (7,600) is 21.2% lower compared to July 2016.

The supply of new and existing homes for July 2017 is 2.4 months representing a home market favoring sellers.
