January 2018 Kansas City Housing Market Report from the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® and Heartland Multiple Listing Service.

Highlights from the January data include:

January 2018 average sales price for new & existing homes combined ($232,022) is 9.5% higher than January 2017.

There were 2,157 home sales (new & existing combined) for January 2018 – 10.6% higher than last January 2017 (1,950).

Home inventory (new & existing combined) for January 2018 (5,993) is 20.7% lower compared to January 2017.

The supply of new and existing homes for January 2018 is 1.8 months representing a home market favoring sellers.
